This bus station and commercial space project is located in the Mvog Mbi neighborhood in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The goal is to create a functional, ecological, and environmentally integrated space by relying on local resources and craftsmanship. This project was made for a 4-days competition held by our studio.

The commercial space consists of earth and wood volumes, arranged by the flow of the users and creating green plazas. The buildings rest on stone foundations, with compressed raw earth brick walls ensuring ventilation thermal comfort and low carbone emissions. A double roof optimizes natural airflow and protects the walls. The bus station, located on a central island, includes administrative spaces and restrooms supplied by a rainwater collection system. The flat roofs are designed to accommodate solar panels.
